Who am I?
I’m Renate, a 23-year old freshly graduated psychologist from the beautiful city Ghent (Belgium). I started this blog nearly a year ago, still studying and trying to figure out what I wanted to do with my life after this chapter of university. Let me tell you; not a lot had changed in that department. Even though I have my degree hanging on the wall (figuratively speaking that is), I’m still struggling with ways to combine my different passions to lead a happy and fulfilling life.
“What are those passions?” you ask… It’s all in the title of the blog! I’m absolutely intrigued by everything concerning the human mind (and heart). Psychological principals and influences are everywhere, in every aspect of our life.
– Enter my love for travelling – I love nature, different cultures, different people, different perspectives. I love desolated places, exploring where not a lot of people have gone before. At the same time, I like being sucked up by a big city from time to time, fading into the crowd and feeling small for a moment.
So I absolutely love these two things: psychology and travel. The dream is to be able to combine these two full time in real life. In the mean time I believe it’s a good start to write about and explore the psychology of travel in this blog.
Here I’ll be answering questions that come up while abroad, topics that emerge while discussing life with people from all around the globe, things I’m struggling with and so on… There will also be a place for travel stories, product reviews, collaborations and whatever exciting projects I encounter on the way.
I hope you enjoy it!
